  Ok you (we) slackers! Time to get our lazy asses off of the couch. Out of the fridge. PUT DOWN THE TWINKIE! SET AWAY FROM THE POTATOE CHIPS!

What is your starting weight for 2009? Don't be afraid. Just give yourself to the reality of your situation. Step on the scale, cus like mad, and post it here!

Oh, yeah - I enjoyed that 3 months of bulking :).

The January Plan (still in flux):
==========================

  • Lyle McDonald's "Rapid Fat Loss" diet, Category 2, for the month of January. This should net me about 8 lbs. of pure fat loss, giving a weight of 175, before ketosis water, or around 170 after.
  • Full-body weightlifting 2x/week
  • Swimming 3x/week
  • Bicycling phase-in. Easy zone 1 spins to start building base.

One must be careful on the RFL diet to limit exercise volume - it can be very counter-productive to exercise too much on a high deficit.

After January, the plan is a little more vague. Probably CKD-style nutrition, weights 2x, more bike, less swim. The big problem is that I worked really hard to build some solid muscle and the LD biking will tend to break it down.

My weight in weight in March was 216.
Today is July 6th and it was 197 this morning.
19lbs. so far this year.
Hoping for about 10 more before the season ends!

A side note... Last winter I managed to gain only 2 lbs. despite a rather hard and snowy Wisconsin winter!
