Happy Tuesday!

Ya know, it is amazing what a good night's sleep can do for your frame of mind.

Woke up today excited for the Thanksgving Day holiday with Patty and Abby.

Still looking for ways to get moving and additional motivation to take the time to do so. I have a new book that I am reading which I hope helps in many areas of my life. Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway by Susan Jeffers, PH.D

Mondays suck!

Today was a difficult Monday. Work was busy. I felt strange all day. Off kilter if you will. I pretty much failed at all of this getting back in shape and eating right thing today.

Was a great evening hanging with Patty and Abby. I love hanging out with my family. I need to get myself together so I can be around to see our baby grow up.

Tomorrow is a new day. A new start. And I'll be rededicating myself to this process once again.

Welcome!

 Welcome to my revived blog.

I've been asked to share my adventure to regain my fitness, Type 2 Diabetes control, and weight loss with the Diabetes community.  This is where I will be doing exactly that.

I will be laying it all out here. Holding nothing back. I will bare my innermost thoughts, emotions, statistics, and transformation trough photographs as well. At times you may find my posts funny. Other times thought provoking or distrubing. It is all part of the process. The struggle to achieve the goal of good health and Diabetes control.

The reason I have agreed to share this adventure with the world is three fold. First, I have a wonderful wife and awesome children who I'd like to spend many years with. Second, is to help inspire those living with Type 2 Diabetes and weight issues to take control of their health. Their fitness. Third is to hold myself publicly accountable. This sharing will keep me focused on this process.

I track my blood glucose, food, exercise, and insulin intake at LIVESTRONG.COM. Please feel free to add me (ZinRider) as a friend on that site as well. Also friend me on Facebook (zinrider) and twitter (Zin_Rider).

I still have some updates to do on the content of this site, so please be patient as I will get to them as soon as I possibly can.

Lastly, I encourage you to register as a user on this site so you can post comments, questions, and even join me in this journey. I'm happy to offer advice and support to anyone who needs it.

Now, lets get on with it!

Starting Point

Well, here I am again. Trying to get some traction to get back to riding, fitness, and diabetes control. I've been off the bike since July of 2010 due to a shattered humorus.

This time around I hope to do a better job of documenting every aspect of this adventure through photos, Livestrong.com, Facebook, and this blog. This blog will be the main focus of my efforts to communicate and document this process.

I will be posting progress photos on the first Sunday of each month.

So, here's my starting numbers:

Chest 47
Waist  45
Hips  42
